How To Amplify Your Life with The Sri Yantra
The Sri Yantra is a complex geometrical structure — either two-dimensional or three-dimensional — with each line, circle, and shape having a particular meaning. Such as the dot in the middle signifies the real YOU, pure consciousness! Read to find out more!
What is Sri Yantra?
The word Yantra literally means machine towards a specific purpose. Machine is a combination of several parts with a purpose. Combining several simple yantras becomes a larger, more powerful yantra. The human body is an extremely sophisticated yantra, however, when we want to multiply 5 by 55, we reach for the calculator — also, a yantra. Every machine is created to make human life easier and live with less friction.
Sri Yantra is one such tool, to remove friction in our inner life, to make our existence easier throughout the day!
That’s what the Sri Yantra is in our lives. It’s the greatest yantra that is a powerhouse of energy. All deities, Gods, and Goddesses are full of divine cosmic energy and this energy is concentrated and stored in an instrument such as the Sri Yantra.
How powerful is Sri Yantra?
Sri Yantra is the symbol of the great divine mother principle, the source of all energy, power, and creation. The design of the Sri Yantra is the design of the Universe as well as the body of Maha Lakshmi, the feminine principle of the Shakti, or energy. Each shape in the Sri Yantra signifies a specific type of Shakti.
What do the shapes mean?
The outer square of the Sri Yantra represents the Earth Element, emotions such as anger, fear, lust, greed, pride, and worldly desires.
A great meditation would be on the outer square to rise above the negativity and distractions. The 4 T-shape structures are the gates in the 4 directions — entry points of the yantra.
The three circles represent the past, present, and future. Inside the circle, there are 16 lotus petals that represent the complete fulfillment of all hopes and desires. There are ten petals for the ten organs of perception and touch — tongue, nose, mouth, skin, eyes, ears, feet, hands, arms, and the reproductive organs. There are five petals for the elements — earth, air, water, fire, and akasha. The last petal is for the mind, which gathers and interprets information from our perceptions.
Inside, there is an 8-petal lotus, which governs specific activity: speech, grasping, motion, excretion, enjoyment, revulsion, attraction, and equanimity.
Inside, there are 4 upward-facing triangles, which represents Shiva, the masculine energy, and 5 downward-facing triangles, which represents Shakti, the feminine energy. These nine interlocking triangles form 43 small triangles, each housing a presiding deity associated with aspects of existence.
Sri Yantra maps our spiritual journey from the stage of material existence to ultimate enlightenment, this is the spiritual journey to merge into pure consciousness, unify, coming together, Avengers assemble! – representing the dot in the middle of the Sri Yantra.
